Ashley Gray

Ashley Gray has a track record as an environmental campaigner from his first job in the 1980s as an intern for a US Senator responsible for the Chesapeake Bay to renewable energy campaigns in Somerset, Devon & Cornwall. He chaired the Two Moors Campaign (2006 – 08) supporting renewable energy initiatives in and around Devon and Somerset. He has also worked with the UK Fishing industry on conservation issues.
Throughout the 2000s he worked in Public Affairs and Communications. He was responsible for promoting conservation and environmental policy both at Westminster and European levels. Later leading training and communication projects in Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and many Eastern Europe counties. Following the 2004 Asian Tsunami, he co-founded the school twinning project ‘Twins’ chairing the UKOWLA Sri Lanka Conference at the Eden Project in June 2007. He remains a patron of ‘Twins’ which now operates in Pakistan and Somalia.
In 2010 he established Gray M.C.A with his wife Connie. A Fine Art Gallery specialising in Fashion Illustration and modernist Textiles.
Ashley believes that CleanupUK’s mission is more important than ever as a positive force for community action and cohesion at a time of increased social isolation.
