Cleanup Champion (Tendring)
I’m Ellie and I am based in Tendring where, in my spare time, I run a community recycling project that helps people reduce waste and become more aware of their impact on the environment.
As part of the project, we are also encouraging people to share or pass on resources which helps build a more caring and considerate community, saving people money and reducing the amount of usable items sent to landfills.
We work hard via our group to share messages about protecting nature and reducing littering, promoting local litter-picking groups and ways every individual can make a difference.
This passion for raising awareness has led me to become a champion for CleanupUK to help build and promote their fantastic local Cleanup hubs and encourage the use of the litter-picking resources that are available within the community.
I truly believe that when we care more for the environment, we care more for each other, and together we have a better chance of protecting this beautiful earth and everything it has to offer
