Kim Evans
Cleanup Champion (Rochdale & Oldham)
I'm Kim Evans, Cleanup Champion for Rochdale and Oldam.
I have a background in delivering projects that foster better community engagement. I’ve worked in the homeless sector for over many years, have run community gardens and am also currently a volunteer coordinator for a homeless charity in Rochdale. Previously, I devised and ran a sustainability course for women in Halifax which introduced women to environmental concerns and gave advice on living in a more environmentally-friendly way.
I am passionate about history, particularly local history, wildlife, walking, environmentalism, exercise and animal welfare. I volunteer at a civic trust and enjoy historical research, history walks, thrifting, mostly buying charity shop clothes, historical sites and wildlife-friendly, organic gardening.
I litter pick in my own time, so encouraging more local people to do the same is right up my street!
