Naima Khan
Cleanup Champion (Birmingham)
Hi, my name is Naima and I am one of the Cleanup Champions for Birmingham, along with my colleague William.
In my spare time I run a litter pick group in Sparkbrook. I’m also a yarn artist and run a craft space to fundraise in my local area. I love hiking and being outdoors. I also advocate for human rights and climate change in my spare time.
I have a horticulture diploma and previously worked as a gardener. I’m now looking after the community planters in my local area and help out with community gardening projects where I can.
My previous roles were as a researcher working with victims of domestic abuse, addiction and mental health, especially those from the South Asian community. I’ve spoken on the radio and written a few articles also.
I am committed to promoting environmental awareness and community involvement.
