The UK's #1 healthy recipe box, Mindful Chef, is running their nationwide coast clean on September 19th for the second year running and they need your help! Did you know every year around 12 million tonnes of plastic enters the ocean? As a certified B Corp, they care about the planet and believe the Mindful Chef community can create positive, lasting change when working together. Last year 1050 volunteers from their incredible community came together to clean 125 beaches across the UK. This year they’re making it even easier to get involved by including parks, woodlands and rivers too.

Plastic is not only detrimental to marine life; it also ends up on beaches, parks and in rivers. There’s been a sharp rise in single use plastics due to Coronavirus, as well as the impacts that the easing of lockdown has brought, with large amounts of litter being left on beauty spots across the UK. This is why this year’s Coast Clean is particularly important.

Plus they’ve partnered with the Marine Conservation Society (@mcs_uk) as part of the Great British Beach Clean to have an even bigger impact and help shape policy to protect marine life.
