Anton Poyntz
Trustee
Anton is a Finance Trustee and the Deputy Treasurer at CleanupUK. He brings over four years of experience in audit, during which he qualified as an ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant. Anton's background includes working with privately owned businesses and charities, and he currently work within the finance function of a City of London law firm.
Anton was inspired to volunteer with CleanupUK after seeing the dedication of local litter-picking groups in his community. Their efforts to protect our green spaces and keep our streets clean have made a real difference to the places where his family, dog, and he spend time. Anton recalls one moment that particularly stood out was after a local festival, when volunteers stepped in to clear the park and restore the area while council resources were unavailable. It was a powerful reminder of the impact that community action can have.
Having personally benefited from cleaner, more welcoming public spaces, Anton wanted to contribute his own skills to support CleanupUK's mission.
As Finance Trustee and Deputy Treasurer, he is proud to help ensure the charity is well placed to continue making a positive impact in communities across the UK.
