Hi, I'm Kate, Cleanup Champion for Birmingham.
I have a varied background broadly in the Arts, Environment and Well Being. I have been working with local communities for 20 years running experiential workshops and practical skill sharing sessions; including Yoga, Sound Therapy and an Urban Orchard project; propagating herbs and planting fruit trees all around my neighbourhood.
Litter picking and has always been part of this outdoor work with volunteer groups and I frequently solo pick as part of my countryside walking adventures. I'm passionate about keeping our neighbourhoods and the wilder parts of the countryside clean and inspiring to be in.
I'm a keen musician, artist and poet, largely inspired to create work celebrating natural beauty and diversity. I play in several bands, make short films and spend as much time at my allotment as I can, growing food and learning from Nature's intricate systems of synergy and symbiosos.
