🚯Friends of Burnham Beach🚯 We couldn’t have a Beach Clean this month so 6 members of our committee did a ‘Hit Squad’ on Saturday morning. We targeted Queens Drive, where we collected a lot of litter, then went onto the beach at the lighthouse end. Thankfully the beach was pleasantly clean and we were able to rush back quickly as the heavens opened! Next beach clean is planned for July 26th.

Litter picking in to town to be arty with Chris Fisher and her Friday morning Art group followed by planting the urns on the Italian Gardens with Carole and then watering them. Finished with a seafront promenade litter pick. SUPER day!!!? 🫶🏼🎨🌸🚯🏖️♻️

We braved the weather and the Litter Pick went ahead today.😊 Big thanks to Pete, Laura and Josh for your commitment. 👏 We collected cans, batteries, a bicycle light, plastic bottles, vapes, crisp & chocolate wrappers and much more… now all safely in the bin! 🚮 Jill Dando’s Garden, The Fragrance Garden and the lawns around the pond and War Memorial are now looking prettier too. 🌺 Special thanks also to Natalie at Growing At Grove Park for giving up her time in half-term and bringing her children along to support us. Thanks also for the Sunflowers handed out for our members to grow 🌻. Send us your pics 📷 Some photos of ‘soggy’ us before warming up with a hot drink! 😂☕️
