🚯Turn the Tide Portishead🚯
We had a fantastic day at Portishead Carnival yesterday! We had teams following the parade litter picking, as well as on our stand within the show field litter picking around the field. The vast majority of people picked up their rubbish, and used the recycling and general waste bins provided. 👏🏼
We’d like to say thank you to everyone that bought a raffle ticket yesterday, which helps us fund our litter picking stations throughout Portishead - we’ll be contacting the winner soon! Another thank you to Lloyd, who last year donated a gazebo to us for our events, as it was used for much needed shade yesterday.
A final thank you to the amazing Portishead carnival committee that ensure the Carnival runs smoothly and brings everyone together. 💞💚

My daughter and I collected a full bin bag of rubbish in Worle this afternoon. Among the usual crisp packets, our finds included one random boot and a stinky bag of unknown liquid. That was from just one bush 🤢👢

🌞 Thank you to everyone who braved the heat and joined us on our second community clean up at Weston Youth Centre, Coleridge Rd, this time last week, where we picked up 9 bin bags of litter, and cleared lots of brambles and glass from around the sports court behind the Youth Centre!
