A huge thank you to everyone who came today and to little lady who joined us from Ealing. As my Dad would say ‘we are internationally famous in London!’ 27 wonderful humans and three dogs came together to collect 17 sacks of rubbish, a shopping basket and fencing. We celebrated all the men and Dad’s in our group who show the next generation how real men behave. We are so grateful for them and all that they do to keep protecting Mother Earth. You are all inspirational and our heroes. Thank you, as ever, to Enfield council who surprised us and came along to thank us in person for all the volunteering we do. It is so easy to say, ‘that’s the council’s job’, but in reality working together makes the greatest changes. We are so incredible grateful for the support we get from the council. So now our beloved Hilly Fields is ready to welcome all our visitors to the Bandstand Concert later today. 🙏

We may have a ‘hung cabinet’ here in Enfield as we wait to hear if The Greens stand by their word and help save our green spaces but still over 30 wonderful humans and two furry friends came together to tidy up Hilly Fields and the surrounding area. 25 sacks of rubbish, a shopping trolley and canisters. Our green spaces mean more to us than any proposed football academies and New Town and that is why we do our bit to protect Mother Earth and create an environment that Enfield souls can enjoy. With the arrival of a new ‘Nana’ to the group and a mum with her teenage daughter, our group is blessed to be growing every month. There are wonderful plans on the horizon here to try and win the battle against those who are unable to dispose of their rubbish correctly, safely and sustainably. Whilst we look forward to a new political chapter I cannot thank Cllr Rick Jewell for all of his support. He represents everything that old Labour councillors stood for. Honesty, respect, the working classes and most importantly was always the first out there making a real difference on the streets. His lost seat is a reflection of the tactical voting in the borough rather than his dedication. A true gent. If you would like to be part of our ever increasing community of Earth Angels please do message me. I am more than happy to provide you with advice, support and equipment. 🙏🌍

We are 7! Thank you to everyone who came today. So lovely to see some old faces and new friends as well as the usual suspects. 30 people came together at the The Rose and Crown, EN2 9AJ pub here in Enfield who are as ever so incredibly supportive of the volunteering we undertake here in Enfield. 30 sacks of rubbish and 26 canisters were collected. 1 new Duke of Edinburgh candidate attended. Easter treats were given out to say thank you. The last 7 years have been utterly incredible. 4100 sacks of rubbish collected, hundreds of bikes, building equipment, traffic management equipment and large oddities that do not fit into sacks have been dragged out of bushes, brooks and grass verges. As well as the physical difference our Earth Angels make, just as importantly we have; Over 100 active pickers 73 WhatsApp group members 882 Facebook followers This has lead to the most amazing friendships, support groups and united neighbourhood anyone could ask for. Where everyone is welcomed and those who need it are supported to do there bit. A generation are being inspired consistently by more established Earth Angels. So here’s to the next 7 years. With exciting plans on the horizon we will keep on fighting for a cleaner, greener, safer and happier Enfield where everyone is supported to do their bit. My personal thanks to everyone in our group and those who support us. You are all magical Earth Angels. ❤️🙏❤️
