We are an active and vibrant community centre in the heart of Radford catering for a diverse number of groups, ages and ethnicities. We are active in community engagement and are hoping to build a better and more supportive environment for all. Radford is a fairly deprived area and has a big litter and fly-tipping problem. We are hoping to encourage people to take a pride in their neighbourhood through various means including having community plant tubs, a community garden/allotment.

Our regular Friday morning Womble Around The Crez saw me let off some steam as we exited the business entry 'grot spot' and the household bins blocked the way through for an unfortunate wheelchair user. We hastily moved the bins out of the way for the grateful lady, only to see the extent of the open black sacks and hoards of clothing left out of the clothes bank. 13 bags from the entire shop circuit. A farewell to Nicola who had joined us whilst on rehab, as she returns home to the seaside. Maybe a beach womble at some point to give her a proper thank you. ....

The return of Roy + Kath, and a 3rd group effort from Nina who proves her worth through the business entries. Shop circuit fairly clear, hopefully reflects on the new public bins. Plans for August Bank Holiday Friday 22nd differ, as the community centre jons with Imagineers event for the Radford Partnership Event at Daimler Wharf and I take the water-themed litter pick. Watch this space as Jac D also has her Radford Festival on the green Saturday 23rd August

New volunteer Roy proved his worth as he joined me around the back of the shops (grotty entries)Mary done more than her fair share before Maria joined us at 8am. Janis + Kath arrived 9am. Shopping circuit and park area completed, shop entries tackled too. Fun in the sun as we Wombled Around The Cres.

My newest member and her mum did a cleanup after the weekend nightlife tossers. Very thankful, just wish the tossers would show the same respect

An impromptu womble of the communal entry on Villa Rd through to Warden Rd after local waste collector Craig spotted us about to head down towards Radford Rd. We never made it, but at least that's one clearer entry. Also hoards of roten carpeting, a headboard, a chair and some wood.
