"Becoming a litter pick hub has been a natural progression of our grass roots community engagement, focused towards real life improvements! We are passionate about our environment and want to support others in making a difference.

Sincere thanks to CleanUpUK and our kind funder Riverside Housing Group for enabling us to purchase additional litter pick equipment!"

Litter pick equipment kits for both children and adults can be borrowed from the centre throughout the year. Please just give them a call to start your own local litter pick.

Picks can occur often or you could just do a one off...there are no rules or expectations and any action to reduce litter is what we are aiming for.

What a fantastic day was had at yesterday's Litter Pick event in Langley & Bowlee! A massive shoutout to every single one of you who came out to help tidy up our community. Your energy, teamwork, and commitment made a real difference, and we couldn’t be more grateful. 💚🧹 We were thrilled to hear that Easter eggs, books, and certificates went down a treat and were definitely well deserved! Just a small token of thanks for the big impact you’ve made. 🐣📚🎉 An amazing total of 9 bags of rubbish was collected taking our total bags to an outstanding 340 bags over the last year - You’re all true Rubbish Wranglers, and Middleton is looking better because of YOU! Let’s keep the momentum going – we're looking for more groups of volunteers for litter pick throughout Boarshaw, Langley, Bowlee, Mooreclose, Mills Hill, Middleton Junction, Middleton Centre, Birch, and Alkrington. Please get in touch for more information or if you'd like to get involved! Thank you again for being part of something brilliant. Let’s keep Middleton clean and proud! 🌍♻️
