What Is the CleanupUK Tree & Hedgerow Litter-Pick Bingo Activity Sheet?
Our CleanupUK Tree & Hedgerow Litter-Pick Bingo Activity Sheet gives you a fun and interactive way to combine litter picking with exploring the natural world around you.
Take your bingo sheet with you on your litter pick and see how many different types of litter you can spot. Each time you find an item on your card, tick it off or mark your square.
Keep exploring until you've completed a row, column or, if you're up for a challenge, the whole bingo card!
As you take part, you'll have the chance to:
- Explore trees, hedgerows and local green spaces.
- Spot different types of litter in your local area.
- Safely collect litter and help keep your surroundings clean.
- Challenge yourself to complete your bingo card.
- Notice the wildlife and nature around you as you explore.
- See how much litter you can remove from your local environment.
Trees and hedgerows are important habitats for wildlife, providing food, shelter and places to nest. Unfortunately, litter can find its way into these spaces and affect the places where wildlife lives.
As you work through your bingo card, take a moment to look around you. Can you spot birds, insects, berries, leaves or other signs of wildlife?
Your litter pick isn't just about collecting rubbish — it's also an opportunity to explore and appreciate the natural spaces around you.
Explore, Spot, Pick & Play
Tree & Hedgerow Litter-Pick Bingo gives you a challenge to work towards while you're helping your local environment. See how quickly you can complete a line, challenge a friend or family member to see who can find the most items, or work together to complete the whole card.
Remember to only pick up litter that you can safely handle and follow any litter-picking guidance provided by your school, group or local community.
Once you've finished, take a look at how much you've collected. You can even count the different types of litter you've found and think about what you could do to help prevent litter in your local area.
