🚯Friends of Berrow Beach🚯 Lovely day for a beach clean today and so much rubbish to clear - mostly rope of all different sizes and lots of plastic fishing lines! Thank you to all of you who came and took part ... it was very much appreciated!! 🚯Gareth Hall🚯 Did a litter pick earlier in a lay by near bleadon, Over 100 empty cans, empty whiskey bottles, a bottle of salad cream, a fridge, and a huge container of used engine oil. Took one hours and forty minutes to pick everything up, looks much better now!!!

Dave Townsend of The Steepholmers tells me that this year's Weston-super-Mare Sea Shanty and Folk Festival was the BIGGEST yet and that they are around 30 bands off being the largest Sea Shanty event in the South... what a remarkable achievement! 👏🏼 Please, @everyone join me in thanking and congratulating the team behind this SUPER event! 🥳 Thank you so much to our SUPER volunteers for litter picking our beach, promenade and town centre around the Italian Gardens today. 🚯 It made such a difference to our town and we received many positive words of praise.
