" This morning at 9am we headed down to our favourite beach for a little clean up. We all became beach guardians for the day, working together to pick up litter and make the shore look beautiful again. It felt so good to do something positive for the place we love. to top it all off, we celebrated our hard work with a well deserved dip in the sea.
Feeling proud, happy, and already planning the next one.

" This weeks litter pick was much easier, nowhere near as much rubbish as last week but still dozens of cigarette butts, a few bottles, sweet wrappers and ripped up leaflets from the school. And an 18 inch long piece of copper pipe. Random!"

This was week two of the Tendring village scarecrow trail . Visitors travelled to take part in the trail and some borrowed the litter picking equipment to pick litter on route .

The Tygers ( Tendring Youth group) worked hard and gathered around 14kg of rubbish across the evening from the local park, school car park and public car park, and along the route to the village hall . They all worked brilliant in small teams showing that they could collaborate to make a difference in the community.
The feedback from the local Facebook group was so positive and appreciative.
The children all enjoyed doing this and could explain the importance of not dropping litter .
